Love to teach

Hello,

This has been quite the week for us. It has been wonderful! We are staying busy here on the fantastic campus of UGA. We had two awesome appointments on Tuesday, in which we were able to get team-ups with members. The first was with a girl named Sarah. She called us after we gave her a mormon.org card at our booth saying that she wanted to meet. The whole lesson was just us answering questions she had. They were really good questions too. She seemed genuinely interested in the differences between this church and the one she belongs to. She liked the way we answered her questions and wants to meet with us again sometime this week, but with a friend too.

We also met with Fei that day. This time we taught him the Restoration. We also found out that he couldn't read and understand the Book of Mormon in English, so luckily we had one in simplified Chinese for him to take. As we taught he had some good questions for us. He was a bit confused at some parts of the lesson, but we were able to go by the Spirit and clear those up for him. Which afterwards he said it all made sense. That was good! We also soft committed him to baptism. He showed up to the first hour of church yesterday, and left before we got a chance to talk to him. However, a member told us that he sang along with the congregation but when it came to the talks he just sat and read (I think from his Chinese Book of Mormon). The member thinks that he probably couldn't understand the talks because the speakers were talking kinda fast and it was unclear in the back. I am grateful he made it to church though, and hopefully he was able to feel the Spirit.

Later on in the week we had another two lessons with which members were there to help out. The first was with a guy named Parker. This was our second time meeting with him. He is hard core Christian, set in his ways. He actually was very open with us in stating his purpose in meeting. He wants to convert us to his religion. He said that he prays for us because he wants to live with us forever, and he is afraid we are not going to make it to heaven I guess. It was another one of those question and answer lessons.

The last appointment we had this week was with Tyler. We are unfortunately not going to meet with him again, but atleast we were able to help him feel of the love His Father in Heaven has for him. He is absolutely torn apart. His mom passed away towards the end of last year, and he is having a really hard time with it, and has no desire to live anymore. It was a super depressing meeting, however I am hopeful that at some point in his life he will realize that the Atonement of Jesus Christ can help him. He just needs to accept Christ in his life.

We are still trying to fill our teaching pool, but I am so grateful for the appointments that we have been able to have. I love to teach the gospel, and am grateful for every opportunity I have to do it. I love y'all!
